You can apply films to all smooth and clean surfaces – they work great on wood, MDF, plastic, glass, metal, tiles or painted finishes. It’s important that the surface is grease-free and clean. Small uneven spots can simply be filled so the film sticks optimally. Strongly textured or porous surfaces are less suitable, as the film won’t adhere well. If you do have a porous surface, you can pre-treat it with our adhesion promoter.
Our films are equipped with fine air channels, so bubbles usually don’t form. If a small bubble does appear, you can simply push it carefully to the edge with your thumb. And if that doesn’t help, here’s a little pro tip: prick a tiny hole in the bubble with a fine needle and press the air out with your thumb. This way you’ll achieve a flawless finish!
With a bit of finesse, it works perfectly. Heat the film at the edge with a heat gun until it becomes flexible. Then press it firmly along the edge with your finger. If you’d like more details, check out our step-by-step video guides in the “How To” section.
