Magnetic flooring tutorial

How to install magnetic floors with ease.

Boden in Holzoptik

Good to know

How does the installation of a magnetic floor work?

First, a thin magnetic sheet is laid loosely on the even, clean subfloor. Then you can simply place the individual planks on top of the sheet. The planks are magnetic on the back and adhere securely to it.

On which subfloor can I install the magnetic floor?

Magnetic floors can be installed on all even and solid hard floors such as tiles, parquet, laminate or stone. The subfloor must be clean, dry and free of dirt so that the magnetic mat lies optimally. Small notches or tile joints are simply covered by the magnetic floor and do not cause any problems. It is only important that no irregularities protrude upwards so that the floor remains even.

Do I need special tools for installation?

No, you do not need any special tools. A utility knife, a ruler and possibly a folding rule are sufficient to cut and install the planks.

Can I replace individual planks if they are damaged?

Yes! This is a major advantage of the magnetic floor: you can remove and replace damaged planks individually at any time without having to remove the entire floor.
